I took my newly built basic no name 300 to the range, courtesy of Mooseman to do some testing. The gun had just been assembled last week and this is the first trip out. I had bore sighted last night in the house so I wasn't looking to be close at first. I had some factory Remington 125's for sighting in and it was pretty close from the start.
So I loaded up 8 sets of 5 rounds starting at 16.0 grains and stopping at 17.5 grains seperated by .5 grains of both Lil'Gun and H-110. All groups were decent, with the best being 16.5 of Lil'Gun and either 16.0 or 16.5 grains of H-110, I'll let you decide which. Shots were taken from a front rest with the rear seated in my shoulder.
Bullets were Nosler 125 grain spitzer ballistic tip P/N 30125
Not to bad for a no name gun that I've got about $450 into completing the upper, including the scope.
I think I'm going to stick with the Lil'Gun for this perticular bullet.
