You're looking at about 750 for a decent AR this sale period.

I've seen Gun Connection, Freestate and Engage offering good prices on Colt and other name brand ARs.

The Gun Shop in Essex is openly advertising 839.95 everyday low price on Colt 6721, and FreeState is offering stripped lowers for fiddy bucks (i assume plus tax and MSP fee)

500? Anyone have those Plum Crazy lowers still?

    Maybe a PSA build?

I would think you are better off looking in the 700 range for a "cost effective" rifle.

I believe JLowes had a DPMS for under $500. I assume it to be the flat side, non-lined barrel, stripped down model they offer. You can get a lot of gun for $800 these days though.

If you want the cheapest AR possible buy a stripped lower and build a ptac kit from palmetto state armory. You can do it for $400-450

    That's a great deal

    Saw this on that site.

Even with transfer fees that is a smoking deal.

PSA has sales of complete uppers in the $300 range. You just have to keep your eyes open. That should get you a rifle for <$500. Not a great rifle, but a rifle.

Sights or optics are another issue
