I'm an IT guy by trade, spent most of a decade doing work for the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI/NMIC) in a variety of capacities through my position with a government contractor in D.C. Started with an interim secret in 2005, ended up resigning my position with a TS/SSBI with SCI in March 2011 so my wife and I could move our growing family closer to extended family and into the suburbs so our kids could have a backyard and stuff like that (couldn't afford it down there).
I was a database modeler, script writer, data information flow specialist, systems analyst, graphics designer, web developer, imagery enhancer, technical writer, and everything in between during that time. Before that, I was a Marine.
I'm currently a systems analyst for a non-profit in Baltimore, but that's just not providing me with the work environment, or pay and benefits, I'd much rather be receiving with my experience and background. I've loved working around our servicemen and women since I left the service myself, and I miss the atmosphere of an active military installation, and the drive and common mission-oriented posture that can be found within. Being at a civilian non-profit is as close to the complete opposite end of the spectrum as one could get, and it will slowly drive me batty.
Aside from APG opportunities, I'd appreciate anything IT-related that's closer to home as well. I'm just a fan of camouflage, I guess.
Thanks for taking a gander!
