Received my letter from Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services today

State check complete and GTG
National check has been initiated

The letter also states the results of the national criminal history check will only be sent to the requesting agency

So far so good :thumbsup:

Out of curiosity, was that around 90 days in advance as the recommend? Unreal that it takes anywhere near that long.

MSP picked it up Mon
MSP cashed my check on Wednesday -- 81182 on the check (but probably is a running number of all MSP checks, not just gun checks)

Now I wait for them to set up my interview. A few guys got called very rapidly, a few guys have been waiting for a while (Submitted renewals and haven't heard jack for months).

I'm going to count off 90 business days, then I'll start calling.

Well, Freedom reported yesterday (3:19 pm post) the following:
March 14 - Letter from CJIS - No criminal history

So, then, why wouldn't you get a letter from CJIS? I don't understand why some get one and others do not.

IIRC CJIS is Federal. That'd be a helluva lot of letters on a nationwide level. Now why do and some don't is puzzling.

Update: Caught him out to lunch. Waited, completed, mailed.

No sign of the check being cashed yet... but then, they just received it Tues., so I'm expecting it to hit my CU tonight.

March, 10 - Check in the mail certified. Forgot to send it with app.
March, 16 - Call from MSP Interview
March, 16 - Letter from Department of Public Safety and Correctional Division
March, 16 - MSP called wife.
March, 16 - emailed boss that MSP will call about my permit.

Check still not cashed.
