I'm sure I'm not the 1st to ask this; but which do yall think is better , the AK, or the AR ??? I got a wasr every1 says they're not accurate, but at 100yds I can hit center mass everytime . This is the cheap ak I know its not a precision weapon, but from a combat perspective that's pretty good, I even hit center mass under stressful conditions. So what is yalls opinion???

I like AR better. You can put kick butt night vision and other cool stuff on it and see down that dark road in the post above.

Accurate enough to hit minute of a man at 200 yards.
    Hits like a dump truck.
Will never jam unless severely mistreated.

Yes the AK is the gun for me

If I need precision I will go bolt action.

Im going to have to refer you to Dugan Ashley over at Carnik Con. They only use pure science and the latest cutting edge technology to answer this age old question.

At the Fall shoot Mid county had both in full auto rentals. After a few hundred ends the AR couldn't get through a mag without a lube break. The AK,UZI Stem rattled on without a hitch. Saturday we had about equal numbers of each at similar rates of fire. Several AR's went down at one point or another.

Nothing like anecdotal evidence, sounds like you need some science if you want to participate in this debate. Better watch the video.

Today in Maryland you need to think long haul. Yes an AK is reliable, and it's fine accuracy wise, but it's FAR FAR harder to get replacement parts for and it's harder to install them. However, if a part goes bad on your AR, its easy to replace and easy to install.
10 years after the ban your AK is going to need a new barrel and its going to cost you a lot to replace it. Your AR will also need a new barrel but it will be simple to replace and find a new one of excellent quality.

AR's offer better sighting systems, better accessory mounts, better ergonomics, better everything. If you can have only one before the ban, buy an AR!

I own a LOT of AK's and a LOT of AR's, I think I have more AK's than AR's so take that into account when considering my bias.

This. I own and work on both.

If ONLY one then the AR, all day every day.

Any person who thinks an AK dosent fail, dosent know what they are talking about.

People who claim to see AR's fail constantly are witnessing crap lubes, junk mags, shitty maintenance, or just unskilled builds/materials.

The AR was built from crap parts or built improperly then.

I was at the MDS Shoot before the last one and I spent the day clearing jammed AK's and FAL's. They were BAD builds and crap parts.

We own several configurations of both AKs and ARs. AKs are REALLY fun to shoot and can't miss a human size target at 200-yards, but even the most basic AR is significantly more accurate and is my "go to" gun for any serious shooting.

last outing before trade of wasr ak, was keeping six shots from a 44 redhawk on rifle target at 100 yards, 3 shot group with a mossberg 30-30 that could be covered with a quarter, ak could not keep 5 out of 10 rounds on the 4x8 sheet of plywood targets were mounted on. fooled with it a couple of hours, no improvement, bench or offhand, it is gone.

Every time I have been around AR's and AK's being used hard there have always been AR issues. I have yet to see an AK issue.

You've obviously been around crap AR's. It's funny how I hear of people seeing AR problems yet I have yet to experience any type of failure besides those due to bad ammo.
