    Sgt Preston here...

I had my Mini 14 trigger redone last year by John Baker at Great West Gun Smithing.

I got a 1 week turn around & received a 3 pound VERY smooth trigger...

    John's e mail address is gundoc@greathwestgunsmithing.com...

His prices are listed on his web site...

    http://www.greatwestgunsmithing.com/mini14.htm

AND you only need to send him the trigger housing assembly...

The rest of the rifle can stay home...

He also has do it yourself videos posted on his web site...

    Hope this is helpful...

I am sure local gun shops can do it too. None of them are close to me and my work day with commute is 12 hours. Hard to get anybody during the week and then there is the same question which one for the Mini 14, even though it looks like a fairly easy job to be done. I am just cautious as you cannot get replacement parts for it from Ruger and have to have the entire trigger group replaced.

Has anybody glassed their Mini and is it noticeable as the rifle in itself is somewhat not that accurate to begin with from what I read.

    +1 on Great Western.

Don't know which Mini you have but the 581 series are better than the older series.

yes, I am reading good stuff about the gundoc everywhere, most likely the place I will send the trigger group to.

The model number as far as I can tell (don't have the gun in hand yet) is 5849-RUG.
