I have a Ruger Mk ll 22/45, 6" bull barrel. It will cycle any .22 lr ammo. It even cycles Aquila SSS ammo but that stuff puts 'keyholes' in the target @ 25'. :innocent0 For the most part in, this pistol, I use std vel. Federal Gold and CCI that I got in 5k batches from the CMP several years ago. I don't believe I can tell the difference in sound between subsonic, std or hi-vel ammo. Hyper, I do hear a difference, as well as Aquila SSS (because of its short case lenght in a semi-auto).

I'm in the process of 'waiting on the suppressor' route at this time. I'm going for a can that will be used on the pistol, bolt rifle .22 and Savage .17 HMR.

yeah i hate that, it works out of the 10/22 well enough though,

Actually, I don't like the Aquila SSS in my 10/22 because with its short case length, it 'flashes' as the bolt moves back. Now my Romanian M-69 is deadly with the stuff @ 100yds. Fun to because when you fire it and you have plenty of time to listen for the impact. :lol2:
