I traded my SKS for an EAA Witness in 9mm. I've heard that you can buy a complete 10mm upper from EAA but I can't seem to get their web site up. Are they still in business?

Looks to be just down at the moment. My buddy bought a 45 Longslide kit for his Witness in 38 Super not too long ago.

Talked to them at NRA Indy Guy said they were updating he online store. You can swap uppers to 10mm provided you have the large frame 9mm.

Definitely the large frame. My CZ-75 mags are too small for the mag well. It would be nice to be able to snag one of their 10mm Hunter uppers for this.

Call them and give them your serial number and they can tell you what fits. They made a small frame 9/40 early on. I believe anything after 2005 was large frame unless sold as "classic" but I wouldn't bet on this. Safest is find someone with a 45 or 10 slide and mags and try them. Or like I said call them and they should be able to help. It's been a few years since I bought a slide from them but they were able to tell me what fit.

Looks like they are still in business but their guns are still poping up all over the place. Their website seems down.

THeir website is primitive to say the least. Call them. Their gunsmithing customer service has taken a beating but their sales team is insanely reponsive (and pretty sexy sounding too!)

Keep in mind most of their conversion come in blue (or whatever paint that is) only at this point. Also the MD mag limitation may come into play.

Otherwise they can hook you up. I got both a 9mm conversion slide in wonder (fit perfectly) for my 10mm and a .38 super (took some relieving) long slide in blue for my 10mm.

I might have to call them once my check book recovers from my cowboy shooting purchases. The pistol I got has the "Wonder" finish. I figure if I get a blue upper I won't get them mixed up. I don't have problems with mag limits here.

I own a Witness P in .40 S&W, it's considered a "small frame" and thus there are only 2 options for slides available, 9 mm and .22 LR.

They state very clearly on their website that the slides you buy as add on's will require gunsmith fitting, but I purchased a 9 mm slide for my .40 and it fit and functioned just fine with no fitting necessary.

It will depend on the exact model of pistol and the frame size to determine what caliber slides will work with your witness.

The good news is the folks at EAA are very helpful, just give them a call and they'll answer all your questions.

I didnt like the wonder blue at first, but it grew on me. I was lucky enough to get a 9mm wonder slide before they stopped making them but my .38 super longslide is blue with supersights.

    Talk about ghettolicious!

    Back in MD sadly
EAA is just the importer. The Witness is made in Italy by Tanfoglio. Their gun is similar to the CZ-75 but not a full on clone like most people think. The Witness is also copied by many Turkish companies importing handguns also through EAA and is the basis for the IWI Jericho ' (Baby Eagle's).

If ammo wasn't so expensive and hard to find it would be my favorite handgun (10mm). It is the nicest shooter I ever used and I was dead accurate with it the first time I shot it. The all steel construction helps. My friend is obsessed with it and I think he likes it more than his Glock haha.
