I picked up two of these, they have the firing pin on the hammers, not a transfer bar. Is it okay to dry fire these or will I need to find some 32-20 snap-caps?

Answer #1 - There is no specific reason to Not dryfire it . It will be as durable as any SAA patern pistol of modern steel.

Answer #2 - It never hurts to go belt And suspenders. I was impressed to see .32-20 snap caps , but there they are in the above link. I guess there are just enough "gamey" SASS types to create demand.

PS , I really like .32-20 as long range field ctg and medimum game.

The 32-20 has a special place for me since the first gun I bought with my own money way back in 1989 was in 32-20. After I pick up my cartridge belt I'm going to get a couple of sets of those snap caps.
