General question regarding out of state repair/modification work on an SB281 banned rifle. Can I send out a now banned rifle possessed prior to 10/1/13 to an out of state gunsmith, and receive it back into MD once the work is done? Tried using search, but didn't find anything specific. This would be based on the gunsmith willing to send the gun back. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

Yes, you can send it out for work. You owned the gun prior to 10/1/13. You can do what you want with it.
