HEY HANDGUNNERS....any love for the .32acp? I did a quick search and I can't find any threads on .32 acp pistols? I think as far as modern firearms its a waste of time BUT I like older handguns and C&R pistols?

Any recommendations for a pistol to pick up. I have the Walther PP and CZ50. I had an Orgties and it was a POS so I sold it. Not interested in Modern firearms like Kel Tec .32 or whatever.

Anyone else a fan of the .32acp?

Almost bought an old (C&R) Walther PPK in .32 from Shooter's Discount a few months ago.

Seriously considered getting the SP101 in .32. Nice thing about that model is it is a 6 shooter as opposed to the 38/357 which is a 5 shooter.

The ammo availability was always the downside.

Sorry, hard to get excited about this one. That caliber dates to the days when getting shot meant dying of sepsis a few days later. I like all kinds of guns, but this caliber doesn't do it for me.

    Help me understand!!!

I don't own one nor do I own a single round of .25 acp but you got my ears :D

:lol2: Not sure why I've always been fascinated by it. Reloading would be kinda cool. I've just never seen a decent platform that shoots it. (usually cheap belly guns.)

I love the .32 ACP. Pip-squeak compared to other rounds but I like it. I have 3. A Mauser HSc, a Dreyse M1907 and a French MAB D. The MAB D is my main .32 shooter, the Dreyse is great too but I don't want to shoot it too much for fear of breaking something, same with the HSc.

I lucked into getting an ammo can of czech surplus .32 for cheap. It definitely recoils quite a bit more compared to the regular commercial stuff

Two of my favorite rounds are 32 ACP and 38 ACP. My Ortgies in 32 is almost too nice to shoot. I especially like the old Colt pistols in both calibers. If you like the round, stick with it for your collection. There are plenty of great, vintage pistols chambered for it.

And still looking for more; CZ 27, Sauer 38h, Berettas and Mausers, Remington 51, and on and on. Fortunately, most folks don't like the cartridge.

True, it's underpowered, and the extended rim can cause real problems in a magazine if care isn't taken in loading, and the guns are all pretty old and parts are scarce. I really don't recommend it. And ammunition is expensive, too. Better get a Glock.
