So...after getting great advice and parts from Andy at Engage and then waiting nearly 11 months...I have finally completed my version of the Noveske Johnny Rifle...

    Noveske MUR Upper
    Noveske NSR-9
    Noveske 10.5 CQB barrel
    Surefire SOCOM 5.56 RC
    Surefire Muzzle Brake
    Surefire Scout Light 600U
    Surefire SR04
    Thorntail Scout Light mount
    Noveske Battle Sights
Larue Tactical LT129 with Aimpoint PRO
    Eotech G33
    Noveske Raptor Ambi Charging handle
    Noveske BCG

    Noveske Gen 2 lower
    White Oak LPK
    Geissele SD-C trigger
BADASS short throw with standard levers
Magpul K grip and BAD lever
    Vltor A5 with iMOD stock
    Magpul MS4 sling

Cerakote was done by Redcreek Tactical...with the lower almost getting lost by FedEx ground (long story)...

shoots well in my hands and can't thank Andy and the Engage team enough for sound advice and getting me to do both stamps...it was well worth it in my opinion...

Does the magnifier get in the way of ejecting brass? It looks like it folds down right over the brass deflector. Great looking gun either way!

Not that I've noticed and it was a concern for me as well. Hard to confirm while indoors but will attempt when I take it outside...

Great looking build -- use it well!

Question: I love the NSR rails, but have been concerned about heat. I run the same barrel on a suppressed SBR under a Troy Alpha Rail... I find that after 2-3 mags emptied at a moderate pace, gloves are required to hold the gun. After 5+ mags, the gloves had better be thick! Your NSR rail is even closer to the barrel than mine. What's your experience been with heat?

It gets warm but never requiring gloves...I haven't done a mag dump with this one but have done consecutive 20 round ones(3-4) on my 16" and 14.5" with NSR with no problems...but those are chf, not ss. Will try next time and report back.
