SBR Barrel Questions

So I'm trying to find a 10.3 or 10.5 barrel for my SBR. Anyone have any recommendations? The reason I ask is because I am unsure of profile/bayonet lug restrictions on SBRs. What do you guys run? Thanks!

I've been contemplating a new upper.. That specific one actually... But was leaning against it. If I were to just replace the barrel, what would you guys recommend?

My vote would be for the DD MK18 upper. I have one and love it. But if you're just looking for a barrel I'd go with DD's 10.3".

Thanks. Are bayonet lugs good to go on SBRs? And does barrel profile matter?

Well, until MSP says otherwise, SBR's still seem to fall under the purview of BATFE.

Yeah, this is starting to get a little weird. I would of thought we would of heard a statement from MSP, now that some SBR sign-offs are coming back from them. Stupid me.

Also just to double check, since it is going to be an SBR derived from a Colt 6721 HBAR purchased post 10/1, it must be an HBAR 10.3 correct? That is where my concern for the MK18 upper comes from...

Also, there is a thread somewhere with all of the information regarding exactly what constitutes an HBAR. If someone could hit me with that info that would be great. I searched but couldn't find it...

Just confirmed that an SBR built on an unregulated AR (post 10/1 Colt HBAR for example) must maintain a heavy barrel profile in SBR form.

Can anyone point me in the direction of a 10.5 heavy barrel??
