No idea, mags are 8-rounds, so legal per MD.

Aside from a higher price tag and name, see no reason why they'd cut off MD like that.

It says "Series 70 Safety" maybe it doesn't have a firing pin block. Not sure if thats what makes it illegal.

Just because they say "illegal" doesn't necessarily mean that it is illegal.
Who knows maybe it just needs to be added to the roster?

It's just a new varieant of a Wilson Combat 1911. Probably doesnt have to go on the roster.

a firing pin block is not required for roster approval. Both of my DW do not have them.

Then there's a disconnect or some other design feature that makes it drop safe. I'm not a gunsmith/armorer obviously.

Where does it say it is illegal? It's a 1911 in 45acp.

Edit: I see it now. Likely uneducated company. There is nothing wrong with that gun.

    This.

The disconnector is not a drop safety. it prevents firing with the slide out of battery. The original 1911 design didn't have a firing pin block or a Schwarz safety like Kimbers. Not needed.

A solution in search of a problem.

I don't see any reason it would be illegal other then the confusion about the roster. But it should be good to go.

On a side note: that is a damn fine looking 1911!
