I have been out of the loop for a while, but is there any word on the new Russian ban on Mosins? I know it will effect AK's and such, but what about older Russian guns?

It will have an effect in the form of panic buying. I have heard several people already say they have stocked up on Russian surplus ammunition.

Have heard that it may affect Molot, the firm that has recently imported many 91/30s, including WW2 sniper rifles, as well as M38s and M44s.

No more AK-pattern rifles or shotguns from Russia until further notice. All the arsenals that make them are sanctioned by name.

The ban isn't on Russian arms, it's against specific corporations so older guns like Mosins sold outside the Concern should still be OK to import. But, it's easy for Obammy to simply add further sanctions should he feel like it.
