I am looking for a host for a silencer is this a good choice?
A LGS has one of these for sale in the $850 range and it is a great looking gun. It has a factory set up threaded barrel and taller sights. I also have been looking to put a 1911 in my safe so it would fill both rolls.

Does anyone have any experience with these pistols? I would love to hear some feedback. Are there other guns I should be looking at to fill these rolls and for close to the same price range?

I've got the enhanced R1 but not the threaded barrel, mine is a tack driver at just about any distance within reason, eats anything I've ever fed it, no hiccups whatsoever.
I believe I paid around $800 for mine but that's when Remington first introduced them.

I own a Remington R1 threaded and I really enjoy it, functions great suppressed and un-suppressed. I would also look a the Glock 21 threaded barrel.

thank both of you for your responses to my question!

Wayne thank you for the recommendation on the glock. I was wondering if there was any other 1911s that I should be looking at that come factory threaded.

I just had my R1 cerakoted, trigger job, and threaded barrel installed. Now I need the tall sites. Know of a source?
Then I have to wait for the can to get released - hopefully this summer.
