If anyone caught the post speech, wolf interviewed Texas rep steve toth, made me want to move to Texas. He made the most sense of anyone I've seen regarding the issues at hand.
I'd also LOVE to know where they some of these stats on CNN. Seems ridiculous... guns are the 3rd leading cause for deaths of kids 5-14?.. I find that really hard to believe.
I hate to admit it, but I am legitimately scared for the future of our country.

Here it comes. Break out the kids.

You mean PROPS don't you ?

But, but, but, it's for the children. Any sensitve person would call that exploitation, but I'm taking it even further and calling Obama's pandering, KIDDIE PORN. I doubt very seriously that those children wrote letters of their own volition, but were prompted by parents who are DNC state officials. It's sickening.

WAKE UP AMERICA, You're being duped !!!

We get a government study that will tell you your gun safe is not safe enough, you will have to get a government approved Gun safe.

And heaven forbid you can’t lock ammo in the same safe as a gun someone might get it.

Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers. How many schools do you think are in the USA. In 2010 there were 132,183 Public and Private schools grades 1-12 in the United States.

Just how far will 1000 Resource Officers go .

Using children as pawns in a political fight to push you gun limiting agenda is just repugnant and cowardly.

    Posturing ...

So far, it's all lip service

    not one 2A EO/Memoranda/Proclamation issued

    http://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/executive-orders

He knows that NOTHING will get through Congress and he has already been threatened with impeachment procedings should he start issuing EOs that 'infringe'. He's posturing for the press as cover for states such as NY and MD, who will try to lower the boom on their citizens. It's another variation on 'divide and conquer'. While he threw a bone to 'hunters' who he knows will back us in a full frontal assault on 2A, his real tactic is to get as many 'states rights' cases going at once. Knowing that the NRA, and others will need to spread their legal talent and $$$ far and wide to defend against them, he's hoping to gain a foothold in those states for future leverage.

To quote the departed Speaker of the House, Tip O'Neill, "All politics is local" and Obama knows it. This is all show in support of the gun-grabbers in the blue states.

If you haven't done so already, use MSI's "Call to Action" and email responder to express your views to your legislators.

I'm surprised this flamming azzhole for a President didn't leave have posters of the deceased from Newtown plastered on the wall.

I wouldn't have surprised one bit if he did. He is trying to play the cool guy while reaching around and stealing your rights. Sad thing is most people will believe him because of entitlements that most of us pay for. If in 2014 the Dems don't loss big we are screwed, Republicans need to get their heads out of their ass's and make a real HARD push to get the house and senate back. At this point, the media, senate and Hollywood are all against us.

Oh, and he can go to HELL for bringing up video games again, Go to Hell. Supreme Court already ruled what many knew, its 1A and they can keep the hell away from them.

Ever hear of supply and demand? Black market value of these things will skyrocket should your bastard achieve his ultimate goal.

Well, for the umteenth time, he's not "mine", nor did I vote for him. Must be some kind of filter or editing software on your end that is preventing you from reading that all these times.

On topic, "Black Market" is not really what is being discussed, it's the legal ownership, use, and transfer of certain firearms.

FYI, heroin is cheaper most places in the US than Oxys and Roxys, so, the theory doesn't always hold true anyway.

It could have been a lot worse. I was afraid that he was going to try to impose an AWB or high capacity magazine ban by EO. He properly left those in the hands of Congress. That actually surprised me. And no I don't think he was scared off by the threat of impeachment. I don't think articles of impeachment would have gotten through the House, not to mention of course a real trial in the Senate.

The attention at the federal level now turns to Congress, and the NRA is our best bet there. No other gun organization is as effective in Congress than is the NRA, so renew your memberships if you have not already done so. And at the state level, join and/or keep in touch with MSI. The GA needs to hear from us, and starting now.

I didn't find the EO's all that offensive, but the 10rd and AW bans being pushed I do. I actually thought many of the EOs were good things. A few comments though:

    4. Direct the Attorney General to review categories of individuals prohibited from having a gun to make sure dangerous people are not slipping through the cracks.
    LOL, you mean Holder?

    14. Issue a Presidential Memorandum directing the Centers for Disease Control to research the causes and prevention of gun violence.
Warning alarm going off in my head for some reason.

    16. Clarify that the Affordable Care Act does not prohibit doctors asking their patients about guns in their homes.
Annoyed by, but used to this already.

    18. Provide incentives for schools to hire school resource officers.
    Wow!

    Color me confused...

You say you're not opposed to Universal Backgound Checks... then you agree that they are a backdoor to confiscation.

Can I put you down as an advocate for confiscation???

I read your original quote incorrectly. I took 'Depending on how they're implemented...' as you agreeing with some version of universal background checks.

I see that you're quick to jump to conspiracy though, so I retract my original remark. I think that responsible legislation to protect both owners and the general public from maniacs makes sense. I do not agree with banning any variety of weapon from law abiding citizens.

You'll find that the majority of NRA members share in my sentiment.

    Personal opinion only...

    No +20 sales, grandfathered possession.

I feel the opposite. For some reason I feel like they're going to either push it black or white, no in between...

Hope I'm wrong (or right if it favors our side of the cause)

And why isn't abortion counted? I mean, if defunding planned parenthood saved just one child's life, right?

So, how much will this cost us?

    Oh, it's just a 1/2 BILLION Dollars

If it's worth just one child's life? Give me a ****in' break.
