I am interested, BUT, I'd like to use my 9mm Colt AR. This is one of the firearms we use at work (actually a RRA 9mm-I can't bring this out for non client approved trng).

I do have a 5.56, but I'd like to train with what I carry (or as close as I can get)

If this is a definite NO GO, will there be a future class open to 9mm's?

I don't see why not since we are not shooting any kind of crazy distances, only bout 100 yards, and the manual of arms is the same. But in the future if we get the capability to shoot longer ranges, obviously this will bar you from using pistol carbines.

Thanks! I'll see how quickly I recover from the "scoping".

Could I go on "stand-by"? If my knee heels and a spot opens up?

There is no movement in this course since it is an intermediate course. In the Combat Carbine course there will be a metric poop ton of running and gunning. But you gotta start somewhere!!

Well, thanks to some scumbag, I may not be able to attend. If the Great State of MD decides I'm not needed for the Petit Jury, I'll be in. I just hope that either a) I'm not selected b) I'm not needed c) it doesn't interfere with my real life.

Do I need to bring my range costume and (unloaded) carbine with me to the classroom day, or is it just street clothes and a notebook?

Just regular street cloths my friend and the kit and carbine you are going to use the day of the live fire portion. You can bring a note book but this is a really hands on class.
