Graf &Sons has such a better deal. I love their $7.95 shipping. I ordered 440 rds of 54R + 200 rounds of hornady 86 grain 30 caliber for my TOK, with free targets added on, for $146 shipped.

$31 shipping to me, but that's still cheaper than CMP

For the Mosin collector who needs a 22lr trainer. Centerfire systems has the WZ48.... I haven't seen any of the big guys have these for a long time. I bought one from them a few years ago and it was nice (I paid less then their "closeout deal" as it was advertised in the email). Looks like they only have a few left so if you want one and $299 is worth it too you, here is your chance.

I *HATE* Starline's 7.62x25 brass (the necks are too short, still no clue where they got their measurements) and they seem to be the only ones who sell the stuff.

The stuff that I got a couple of years ago measures correctly and loaded fine. I got some new Starline brass this past year that I haven't opened. I wonder if there's a difference in batches? I'm mostly reloading PPU brass for my Toks now, and just keeping the Starline in reserve.

I guess it depends on what you consider "correct".

Lee lists the 7.62x25 Case length at .988. Wiki says .980, a few other sources say anything from .980 to .990.

Starline lists the 7.62x25 case length at .958 to .962, that's a good amount of difference when dealing with certain bullets. PPU and S&B brass both use longer cases. You can see Starline has a little note about the 7.62x25 length vs .30 Mauser on their page.

I am not saying it cannot be used, but I had some issues with some I tried to use with certain bullets at certain OAL.

The HXP .303 definitely sold out quickly. How can you pass up non-corrosive, reloadable brass for less than fifty cents a round? Looks like there is still some HXP .30-06 available as bulk, but the clipped stuff is long gone. Glad to hear that some other board members got some as well.

When I click on the link it still says they have everything in stock except for the M2 Ball on clips? Or did it say it was OOS when you click add to cart?

I ordered 2 cases of HXP .303 on clips and 2 cases of the bulk HXP M2 Ball earlier today. More money than I wanted to spend right now, but it beats paying more money down the road. Shipping was a bit expensive but it still seemed worth it to me

Oh, maybe it was only the clipped .30-06 that is out. They also had British .303 surplus in addition to the Greek that sold out yesterday. I agree, the shipping was a little steep, but it was still cheaper than the CMP .30-06 HXP and I got mine clipped.

I just ordered the 480 rounds from CTD and it was a total of $272.43. Shipping was $32 of that cost which is really high but its a lot of ammo and cheaper than CMP as you stated. I tried but could not find a discount code. I know they have them somewhere.

A retailer's shipping costs, alone, never concern me. If the total out the door price is, on a per round basis, cheaper than I can get it through CMP, then it's a deal in my opinion. That's like $.07 to $.10 per round cheaper than CMP. It don't get much better than that. If you think about it - the shipping cost isn't that crazy. If you were to order a spam can of 54R from almost anywhere, you'd pay between $22 and $30 in shipping. I split a box of 400 on enbloc clips with a friend, but might end up ordering a box of the 440. You can never have too much cheap ammo around. The Great Yellowstone Earthquake will happen one day.
