So..I have Ridge vents on the house and the garage. One on the garage is leaking for sure. One on the house may be leaking......

So....job is too remove Ridge Vents, replace plywood strips that were cut out
for the vents, and then, a run of shingles along both Ridges.......

    Roof(s) are easy access.......

    Estimates appreciated

    Tnx

Hope you don't mind a little feedback. Unless you have an attic fan I'd keep the ridge vents. Really helps with ventilation. Just get them replaced with upgraded ones. Mine leaked many years ago because the wind would drive the rain/snow up into the attic because the baffling was crap. Got them replaced with better product and haven't had a problem since.

No, No..Feedback is great.....but you also mentioned the Fan(s). Yep I have one on the house roof, and one on the garage roof. They are Temp activated, but have been turn off for some time.( In "passive" mode now) Originally, the place was built with Gable-end vents, which are still there. I opted for the Fans years ago. I think the Ridge vents are a bit of over kill, and are now a problem.

    Thanks for the reply
