Any air rifle guys onboard know much about mounting scopes on air rifles? I know the scope needs to be air rifle rated and that some rifles have "barrel droop" that must be compensated for when mounting a scope.
I just ordered my first real deal air rifle, an RWS 48. Before this it's been Gamo and Crossman. I'm just looking for some advice from those who've BTDT.

    Thanks in advance.

I used the one-piece RWS Lock Down mount on my 48. It compensates for droop and is very robust. It handled the heavy recoil of this rifle which has a reputation for breaking scopes and mounts.
