I did a pretty substantial search, but couldn't find a clear answer.

From Wikipedia (I know its not credible but an easy resource),
The Uzi Pistol is a semi-automatic, closed bolt, and blowback-operated pistol variant. Its muzzle velocity is 345 m/s. It is a Micro-Uzi with no shoulder stock or full-automatic firing capability. The intended users for the pistol were various security agencies in need of a high-capacity semi-automatic pistol, or civilian shooters that wanted a gun with those qualities and the familiarity of the Uzi style. It was introduced in 1984 and produced until 1993.

This means that it uses a micro Uzi lower and would not be compatible with a mini/full size lower. Other notable differences are the top cover, cocking slot in the bolt, and the recoil assembly. The Uzi Pistol is on the MD Assault pistol list, but there are significant parts incompatibilities between the Pistol and mini/full size and the more recent rulings of the MSP regarding 100% interchangeability support this idea. Would a Mini Uzi or Full Size Uzi in pistol configuration not fall under the Uzi Pistol on the Assault pistol list? Has anyone asked for clarification?

The most clear example supporting this would be the banned Springield M1A and the legal to own Polytech M14. This thought process was inspired by the questions raised about reverse stretch 90 series HK firearms in another thread.

Well, that's my question. The Uzi pistol is enumerated and uses the micro Uzi receiver. Would either a mini Uzi or full size in pistol form be legal? Neither the mini or the full size are 100% compatible with the micro in any form. The barrel, receiver, recoil assembly, and grip frame are all different between the micro and mini.

Wikipedia doesn't know the Uzi fires from an open bolt?

Pistol is closed bolt semi only

    Micro is closed bolt fa/semi

Mini is either closed bolt fa/semi or open bolt fa/semi. The feet on the bolt and clearanced trunion indicate an open bolt kit.

Full size is open bolt fa/semi

With the open bolt guns there is time between when the trigger is pulled and when the primer is struck. The bolt moving forward causes a shift in center of gravity and a decrease in accuracy, which is probably why the micro is closed bolt. The bolt to overall weight ratio is much higher on the smaller guns making the shift even more pronounced when compared to a full size.

I still haven't found anything that indicates the "Uzi pistol" covers all forms. Pre '13 carbines are already gtg, but this could be a good way for those who missed out to get an Uzi. Especially since sbr's won't meet the oal requirement.
