    I'm lookin for a reputable transmission shop in baltimore county to remove and install a transmission in a 2005 F150. 4x4. The replacement will be a new unit along with converter, which I will get Tuesday from dealer.

    I could do the job for you in a private garage. We are fully equipped with a lift and any and all tools needed. I have roughly 15yrs experience with general auto repair. The garage is close to you in Essex off of Mace ave. Send me a pm if your interested. I can have your truck back to you within a day. Im always looking for side work.

    +1 on whitcraft. Thought for sure I had some issues with my Honda years back and they said no it's not the transmission when they could have opened up my wallet.

    Then later they did a reman on my Dodge Dakota at 130K and it's still running strong at 170K. The price was great.

    Old Thread Revival!

    Anyone know good automatic transmission shops in the Crofton or central MD region?

    Southern Transmission in Eldersburg seems to have the most support so far. If they're that good, I'll make the drive to support an honest business.

    Also hearing Suburban Transmissions in Laurel is a good choice.
