Ar15 aimpoint mount Co witness question

I recently purchased am aimpoint t1. I'm running Troy flip up buis. With the rear sight up, it completely covers the optic.

Obviously I need a different t1 mount, as I'm running the factory aimpoint mount at this point. Which mount(s) have you guys had good experience with?

ADM, LaRue, etc. Any of the big boys will work fine.

If you have a fixed front sight, try to find a lower 1/3 co-witness mount. If you have a folding front sight, I'd go for absolute co-witness.

I'm not sure what mount is standard on the PRO, but it's perfect for co-witnessing with a fixed front sight.

You can either get a spacer, pictured below. They come in 2 sizes, 30mm for absolute & 39mm for lower 1/3. Or you can go w/ a QD mount. I prefer QD & use ADM. The DD mount is cool but not QD. GG&G has a QD mount that incorporates lens covers but looks heavy. Quite a few choices out there for ya.

Get a lower one-third mount from LaRue or BoBro. Both are pricey. Both are worth it.

On my 6920 and 6721, I have Aimpoint PRO, with Magpul BUIS and factory front sight.

Using the Aimpoint supplied mount, I get a great co-witness sight picture.

The red dot sits directly on top of the front sight, perfectly...... for me. :thumbsup:
