I had given some very serious thought to the best DINO candidate in this election. Some very savvy and experienced folks seemed to be leaning the same way... that Brochin would be the easiest to defeat in the general election and should get all the DINO support.

    I was wrong!

Tim Robinson, the pro-2A Republican candidate, and his campaign advisers all feel that DeJuliis would be easier to defeat. Tim is the "man in the arena," the one actually seeking to be the next Senator from District 42. DeJuliis lacks the name recognition and supports far left policies, making the race a clear choice in a more conservative district.

If it's his wish to face DeJulius, then so be it. Our intent has always been to present a candidate in the general election that can be beat so if the guy in the ring wants to face DeJulius then count me in.

Yeah, I (and some other folks smarter than me) thought Brochin would be easiest to beat. Robinson's staff laid out some very good reasons why DeJuliis is the one they want to face.

On the bright side, if Brochin wins the primary then anyone going DINO gets to vote against him twice. ;)

On a more serious note, Tim Robinson is going to need a lot of help from this community. Time, effort, and money are all going to be the deciding factors in this race. Volunteering for his campaign and donating your dollars are the best ways to send Jim Brochin to the unemployment line.

I know we should be mature adults and carefully examine each candidate in a rational and intelligent manner, but sometimes I just can't help feeling like I'm gonna puke every time I see a Brochin campaign sign.

So many giant Brochin signs along York Road today...

I wanted so badly to have a stack of big "LIAR!" stickers.....

I think woodstock was planning on finding when and where Brochin was going to be doing sign waving on street corners just so he could stand next to him with a big "LIAR!" sign.

Not that I would ever suggest either practice...:innocent0

On a more serious note, I had a chance to chat with Tim Robinson today at the Town Hall in Jacksonville. He'll need our help in a big way to get the word out about his campaign. Plenty of opportunities for anyone, in or out of District 42, to step up and work for a candidate who understands why we have a 2nd Amendment.

Yeah, I've been working among them for the last few days. I was thinking along the lines of a spray paint "liar" stencil. If you noticed all the Craig signs you'll have some idea of where I've been spending my free time.

Yup, York Rd is a clusterf*ck of Brochin signs. They're everywhere. Maybe a half dozen Dejulius signs and they're poorly designed(her name is tiny).

Brochin signs have made into the northern territories too. There aren't any other Rep Gov candidate signs that I've noticed. The other big guy thinks we are too dumb to read signs. He had a meet and greet on York red at a resteraunt displaying a Craig sign.

I will have some prime Brochin info available Monday, totaling up how much his vote on the Rain Tax will take out of our pockets over the next 10 years. This vote alone will be a major hammer to swing when discussing the State Senate race with any small business owner.

    Brochin Rain Tax information:

    <img src="http://www.mdshooters.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=117893"/>

Not only did he vote for it, he voted against every proposed change to make it less burdensome.

Ayup. Thanks for the correction. I was looking at the 2013 record, which was amendments (Brochin voted against any mods) to the existing law passed in 2012 (which Brochin indeed voted FOR).

Wish I could vote in several districts, just because there so many that need to go.

Funny, both O'Malley and Erlich want Brochin gone. For different reasons, but that's an interesting situation...

nice! Good work on researching amendments! I want to do that as well, plus committee votes. For the entire state, that is hundreds of hours worth of work...

Can't take credit for the research. The attachment was part of the literature handed out at the Jacksonville Town Hall last Saturday. These little local events are important to attend if you want to keep on top of things.

Ah, I see. I wish we had a list of events like that somewhere. That is some very valuable info you found there! Also, teaming up with other groups that share a common goal would be great!
