I have been looking at presses until my head is ready to explode. I was wondering why I see zero recommendations for the RCBS progressive press (Pro 2000 and auto index)? I thought RCBS has a good rep for excellent products.

I would tend to think in the progressive world people remember horrific machines that rcbs marketed like the " piggyback & The Green Machine "
    Buy a Dillon.

And even reviews of their later models of progressives are not that good.

I had an RCBS Green Machine back I the '80s. Since I was working in the business back then, I got it wholesale. The damn thing was supposed to do 500 rounds an hour. I was lucky if I got 300 an hour. I would usually have to stop to reset the timing on the thing after a few hundred rounds.

I sold it four years after bought it. Made a few bucks on it.

Nothing wrong with a Hornady. No need to bow to the Dillon snobs.

I have used and sold just about every press on the market....single stage, turret, and progressive. They all work, and they all have their quirks and issues. When it comes to progressives, there is a reason that the Dillon machines are the standard by which all others are measured.

Actually, I have heard good things about the Hornady progressives.

But when I got mine, the Dillon was the only real choice. And they are still superb devices, with an amazing warranty.

I know a certain pony freak here has a Hornady and rumor has it he has reloaded a round or two in his life time.
