Read a bunch of reviews and the Outbreak got high marks. Dicks has it on sale for a ready to shoot package.

The thing is tiny and very adjustable.

Anyone own one? I'd like some real world impressions before I pull the trigger.

My current bow is a PSE Nova with old school sights and 65# draw.

Never shot that bow but ain't seen a bow out there that can't kill a deer. Only seen shooters of a bow that can't kill deer.

Do you just want a new bow? What is wrong with your Nova?

I looked at Specs and 280 to 290 FPS on the Nova and 308 on the new bear bow. Other than being shorter for ground blind hunting, I don't see the benefits, except shiny and new.

I think a lot of compound guys get "Bow envy" as a friend got a new one and I'm still shooting this 3 year old bow that is only 290 FPS. Just like said above, I can shoot one of my primitive bows at 165 - 170 FPS with a 650 grain arrow and in one side of the ribs and out the other. The deer is just as dead :D Remember the Bear Whitetail II? Lots of deer turned into meat under its rein of terror and no one would be caught dead even letting their kid shoot one.

The average archery shot is surveyed to be 7 to 15 yards. I just don't see the value in all there upgrades in bows. Just my opinion, I'm cheap and need to see the value in something before buying it. Shiny and new does not cut it for me.

I like the Bear Cruzer! Thanks for mentioning it!

I like my PSE but I'm looking for a bow that won't take up so much room behind the seat in my truck.

Anyone want to buy a Nova or a Hoyt?

    The Bear Cruzer came today.

Easy setup, and easy sight in :)

At least, after dealing with 30 year old technology. lol
