    A lot of polymer framed .45's have stainless slides (some coated) and stainless frame inserts, so that really opens up your options. :D

    True. But i have a g21 and that is my go to polymer 45. Just want some ideas for a stainless etc 45.

    ^^^I love those revolvers, but they could have come up with a better design for the JM on the grip.^^^

    Stainless or brass medallion maybe.

    Moon clips or head spaced off the case mouth?

    Well that is the grip Jerry designed and uses. It works for me to.

    how about a 2011 STI (edge, eagle, etc). not a 1911 but a double stack version. same great ergos and trigger, more mag capacity. heavily used in uspsa and related competitions so they're made for speed and accuracy.
