Sacrilege I know but I mounted a Weaver 80th Anniversary Gloss Blue scope on mine, and changed the rear sight to a brass peep - I'll try to post a pic later.

Thanks. A guy named Gayle Finch in Texas made it. Ftort Sandflat gun vises. He did this one in white oak.

Wow! Very nice. I just picked up my first Henry yesterday. I wanted a "Golden Boy," but I settled for a .22LR blued with walnut stock. Looking forward to the range. It certainly seems very well built and the action is smooth as butter.

i've been told this at the range with my Big Boys but if you're careful about where you put them down, no scratches yet. As far as the furniture any wood scratch remover works.

Nah Bart, I stocked up on Never-dull when the NAV outlawed the stuff. We were supposed to dump them overboard but several big cans disappeared before that happened. That's Naval Intelligence for you......get rid of a fire hazard and it spreads the stuff all over the living spaces instead of one place in the hold.
