    It is not that bad.

A little more recoil than 45 ACP, but not as much as a 357 magnum revolver.

Cool, that's what I was wondering... I shot my new to me 5" 686+(Dealer Stocking Special) yesterday, with full power loads. It had also new to me target grips on it, and I was surprised how the fat grip really displaced the recoil, more so than the skinnier stock Hogue rubber grip. It went from a pain, to a pleasure to shoot with full power 357 loads...

Slide absorption of recoil must be somewhat similar, albeit with an obvious different feel.

Thanks, now to just find one so I can see how it feels in hand....

If you have a sadomasochist tendency that loves pain, shoot a Bond Arms derringer in 357 magnum :D

Love 1911's and love 357's, but how beastly is it to shoot this thing for those who've had the pleasure to try?

I find them as comfortable to shoot as any full sized .45 1911.

    They're accurate as hell too.
