    Hi guys,
I've got a 10.5" pistol with a sig brace that I want to turn into an SBR.
Is this possible in Maryland because of the state's minimum 29" rule for SBRs?
Will the OAL with a standard 6 position stock be long enough?
Im thinking of using this DD stock:

I was doing some rough measuring against my 16" carbine with a 6 position stock all the way out and it looks like it is damn close to 29" or slightly over....
Anyone out there SBR'ed a 10.5" too? What did u do to make it legal?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.
    Best,
    Jim
Ps - my flash hider is not pinned or welded and I did not include that length in my measurements mentioned above. I guess I could which would give me another 1.5-2" or so...
Is that what a lot of people do?
PPS - no trust, I'm just going to be patient :)

As long as that stock extends to the same terminal length as say an M-4 stock you should make it beyond 29'' without a flash hider.

EDIT: Sheesh! I thought I already answered this!

    A 10.5 might take you pas 29" OAL, but I would go with a 11.5" or a 12" barrel.

I am not familiar with that stock. But, if you want, buy the stock. Put it on your 16" carbine. Measure fully extended from buttpad to front of upper receiver. Then you can better determine if the barrel length is sufficient.

One reason a lot of us go with a magpul stock is because they have those rubber buttpads that you can replace with thicker ones.

Measured mine on an M-4 and it goes to 29 7/8'' with a 10.5(I never pushed the pins in, honest!).

    A standard M4 stock and a 10.3" barrel make the 29" minimum.

10.5" is fine with standard stock. If the stock is not standard, it may or may not make it.
