Have you struggled with these narrow gun socks, trying to get the over your scope on the rifle? I have, but now I've found a solution to that problem: The Alaska Gun Sock! They are about 1" wider than other rifle socks I have bought. I stumbled onto this baby on the WalMart.com website. I found out later that Amazon.com has a few of them also. They are made/sold by an outfit in Anchorage, AK. I'm not sure if Walmart.com still has them or not because I went back to find the link and there is a mixup in the photos for the item. The ones at Amazon are "add-on" items.
The first photo shows one side by side with the narrow socks.
The second photo shows the Alaska Sock on my Ruger American with a large scope mounted. It was easy to get it around it.
