So if a collector had only one diamond and the diamond was "the Hope diamond", he would not be a collector? I disagree. It depends on the situation which is why a lawyer may come in handy.

And YOU pay the bill for said lawyer.

Gee Mike , will you come show me your pistol if we shoot it out back ?

Don't take the potential advise of the internet that a DC letter is a magic card. BUT if transporting your collection , or example ever becomes an issue , it might be an extra speaking point for your lawyer. Don't make DC a Plan A , but a weak Plan B is better than no Plan B .

Go for plan B+ DC and C&R

I'm going to wake this thread up for a second.:blah:

I submitted my app ~2 months ago and still haven't heard back. Did anyone have the same issue? I am thinking about just sending in another app via certified mail.

    jjsat,

Good to hear! I have had nothing but positive experiences with the licensing division. Well....as positive as it can be.

Gave Trooper Thompson a call this morning. Very courteous and helpful!

She pulled mine out of the pile and processed it for me :) She was out of the office for a little while.

Impatiently waiting on this, I sent in the form on Dec 29th. I wish I would have sent via certified mail so that I could verify that they received it. In an effort not to overload MSP, I guess I'll wait a full month before contacting Trooper Thompson.

As I understand it, MSP goes ahead once you have ONE; the denial is when you have none.

Definitely still the case. I just spoke to Trooper Thompson earlier today and was told that. However she did say she'd take care of it once I had purchased at least 1 regulated firearm.
