What a turnout, and what a beautiful day. After 9:00am or so there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the temp was in the low 40's.

We officially had 85 people....let me say that again EIGHTY FIVE people show up to shoot today.

I didn't get too many pictures worth posting, but I'll put them up and let others post theirs as much as they want.

Thanks to everybody for showing up, stimulating the economy, and shooting what we figured was at least 80,000 to 90,000 rounds today (heck half of that was probably run through Jeepdriver's guns!)

Way to go....you put this up about 12.5 seconds before I entered mine.

I'm off to eat dinner, I'll post more later.

Couldnt have got me to smile in either pic, I look so pissed. The first pic of me I was actually very happy. I only shot that .243 4 times. The first one I flinched and was a 1/2" off from the group of 3 which could have been covered by a penny. I played hell trying to get my bros .243 dialed in, I finally gave up after 15 rounds or so.

Just want to say make sure I say thanks to Dave (Drmsparks) and Terry (3rdRecon) for letting Simon and I run some rounds through your guns. I really appreciate the opportunity to fire different types of rifles and handguns and the fact that you trust me enough to leave them at my bench and walk away for a while blew my mind. Im glad that there were 85 trustworthy and safe people there shooting today. At no point did I feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Well I was a little uncomfortable when I first got there, but that wore off quick.

OK....belly's full. Amazing how good a Sam Adam's Honey Porter tastes after a good day of shooting.

Thank you to everyone for making today a safe and enjoyable day. Even with 85 or so people on the line and several hundred firearms on site, I think I only had to make 2 or 3 safety corrections the entire day and those were minor ones.

A huge thank you also goes out to those that donated materials for the raffle. We raised over $300 to put towards something for the next shoot.

I love my new G30, but I'm afraid that tzoid may have ruined me for life with his most excellent tricked out SIG as did JeepDriver with the 9mm AR SBR. Follow that up with the Mk23 SOCOM and I now have an expensive shopping list :D

I managed to avoid Blind(The Grim Reaper) Viper's shotgun of pain today, but found Canuck's little AOW 870 to not be too unpleasant.

It's apparent the fawning over the ROBARMs is not idle BS....the rifle shoots extremely well.

All in all an excellent day. We'll have another sometime before summer.

Thanks to you and Spott for doing what you do so well.

For my part, it really is my pleasure. I basically organize huge events for a living, so this is not that difficult and it sure is a whole lot more fun than the ones I normally do.

We should also remember that without DD214's forethought in establishing MDShooters.com we wouldn't have these events or the legislative success we've had the last couple sessions.

heck I shot only 120 rounds all day, but they were damn fun rounds!

    40 45ACP through my 1911 and 10 45ACP through Norton's G30

    40 .22lr through mt P22

    30 rounds through the M16 :D

This was the first time I shot since the last gathering we had back in October, and it's also the first time since my hand surgery. I'm pretty satisfied that I can handle just about a full day at the range with handguns and rifles now.

Way too much fun today. Thanks everybody!

Hell in 2 weeks I might have the guns cleaned.

I need time to pick up some more .223/5.56mm.

Give me a month or so.

Im still trying to unpack. Im bouncing back and forth between Mythbusters, here, eating, and drinking some beer.

I wonder when all of my guns will get cleaned, I know it wont be tonight :sad20:

Yep, I'm on the couch w/ a Sam Adams Winter Lager and the lap top.

Ain't no guns getting cleaned tonight.

I had a great time, thanks to the organizers.

I noticed a stange phenomenon though.....as the day went on, my ammo bag got lighter and lighter . I'm afraid to look inside and see how much I have to replace :lol2: . I'm figuring 4-500 rounds (I think JeepDriver did that in the first half-hour though :lol2: ).

Good to put a few faces to some screennames. I look forward to another gathering.
