This is a great course to learn, or brush up, drawing a pistol from concealment and shooting from various positions. The class is 4 hours of practical skills and 250 rounds of live fire.

This course is an intermediate to advanced level and participants should have completed Basic Pistol, First Steps Pistol, or an equivalent level fundamental pistol skills class. There is an instructor waiver available for this class, please contact Instructor Aquilla directly to discuss at CAquilla@TeamHouseTraining.com

Where does this class fall relative to Personal Protection Outside the Home?

The course of fire is similar to the advanced outside the home (2-day), doesn't include the bag CoF. The module was designed to follow Basic Pistol in order to provide skills more appropriate to concealed carry; draw from concealment, defensive accuracy vs bullseye, movement, and cover shooting positions.

This course is also a great introduction to IDPA, as we include those basic skills and concepts as well as reference IDPA as sport for ongoing defensive skills practice.

It is a good review and provides an infrequent, for most shooters, to go on a range a practice draw from concealment with live fire from shooting positions other than standing.

FAQs; Yes, you will be drawing from concealment on live fire. Holsters; Strong side IWB or OWB FITTED holsters with passive or active retention are allowable-generic multi-fit nylon that collapses is not allowable.

Round count exceeds 200 target grade and at least 20 defensive grade.

You will receive the NR CCW applications for VA & FL, if desired.

Please forward any questions to me here via PM or CAquilla@TeamHouseTraining.com

    See you at the range...

Bump; A few seats remain for this Saturday's NRA Defensive Pistol class.

This is a great opportunity to practice draw from concealment and live fire.

The class is almost entirely practical. Focus is on building practical pistol skills.
