Does anyone still make a 44-40 single action revolver that's either nickeled or polished stainless steel? I checked Cimarron's and Uberti's sites and the only one I found was a 7.5" barreled, engraved monstrosity for $1200. I know Ruger used to make them but they're no longer in production, same with Taurus. I'd rather get one without the transfer bar in the smaller Colt size without the Colt price or two year wait. Any suggestions?

Checked Taylor's. Nothing in the caliber.

    Uberti makes a .44-40, but in a case-hardened frame/blued barrel & cylinder.

    Ask on SASSnet.

Get one of those Rossi 20" 44-40 92's CDNN has been advertising for ages and you are set.

Yeah, I can find blued ones pretty easy, it's just the nickeled ones which are hard to find. I picked up an Uberti 1860 last month in 44-40, so I wanted some nickeled, 4 1/2" barreled SAAs to go with it. Thanks, though. The search continues.
