    Amongst the Deplorables, SC.
    Anyone ever see an East German Mak with grips that look like the Norinco 59's?
    I saw one and was curious if that was a thing, they made some like that, or it was an add on at some point in its life. Thanks!

    the EG Mak grips are black and flat!! I actually prefer them to the bakalite grips with thumb groove.

    that's aftermarket from the owner. grips are interchangeable. the most confortable Mak grips are the Pierce grips. I just put them on last wk on this Bulgarian Arsenal Mak. here is a pic of before/after

    I've seen quite a few East German Makarovs with red star grips on Gunbroker, with their original boxes from the importer. I'm guessing that was done because people associated red star grips with Makarovs.
