I've been thinking about a 590 vairent as well.

Mossbergs suck especially the milspec ones . You just sit home where your nice safe and comfortable ,Ill head over to Dicks and advise them they are selling an inferior firearm and should remove if from their inventory

Hey, is that a mag extension there? I need one like that for my Winchester Model 12! Where'd you get yours? (Oh, heck, it's the 100th annivesary of the year the Mod 12 was named for!)

It is a mag extension but thats how it comes from Ithaca, can get 6 or 8 shot.

Went by dicks today...catalog has a 590a1 (don't know if it has a heat shield or not) but it has ghost ring sights and speed feed stock (dont know if 2 rds or 4 rds) for 500. I think the 590a1 with ghost ring sights was 480. 20 bucks for speed feed = win
