Picked up last night from South Carroll last night as a transfer....

Not quite C&R.... The BS model was made from 1957-1983. P1 Date Code under the grips, That puts this gun at 1971. This gun is in just fantastic amazing condition, near 100%

South African Defense Force stamp on the frame and Magazine.

    bummer.

I might just take a chance at the j and g ones. They fit the description, post war and blued.

I've got a south African set going together and need a sidearm

Don't think that one can be upgraded, excellent find! Sounds like you're combing the 'net to find unobtanium in out-of-the-way places too. When you get to a certain point in your collecting life the stuff you're searching usually can't be found in your own backyard. Gotta get out and about to find that needle in a haystack.

Beautiful! Did that come from one of the larger dealers? Both the BS and BM models tend to be very nice handguns.

Nice looking Pistol, it is stamped with that overkill Century Arms International Import Mark (CAI VERMONT) on the frame. Century sells to many resellers, SOG being one of the larger.

By the way SOG typically sells CAI Imports for $20 less than the Importer, Century. I would start with Century to see who they sold this lot of Pistols too.

Depending what Salesman you work with at Century they have been a bit shitty abot selling Pistols to Maryland, not that I can blame them.

Beautiful piece. And yeah you'd think CAI would've gotten the hint by now that people hate their big electropencil markings and switched to real(and discreet) engraving.
