    If I take a pistol to my LGS with the intention of trading or selling it, is it proper form to leave the gun in the car and ask if i may bring it in, or can i just walk in with it.


    Also, does a 7 day waiting period apply if you turn in a gun at the same time?

    As the FFL you are dealing with what they want you to do.

    Yes, if you are buying a handgun, the 7 day wait still applies, even if you are trading one handgun for another.
