Sure. It's 7.62x39, so it isn't a copy of the HK91, 93, 94, or the FAL.

Just bought one, love the inexpensive ammo, huge number of accessories to customize and great reliability. .308 is just too expensive for me to shoot in quantity. I have an FAL, M1A, HK91, all great rifles, but I really enjoy the HK 91 platform. This will be my go to rifle for cheap fun.

Since you also have a 91 can you compare the bolts? x39 rim diameter is REALLY close to x51 IIRC. I've been wondering if it's the same bolt just a different barrel and magwell.

Last time I checked it was sold out. Ptr91.com is temporarily out of production.

IIRC, they did another run of the gen1 rifles recently using some leftover parts. Won't take Romanian drums, or so I've heard.

We are testing guns in advance of a future contract build we may have PTR do for our firm. These will be a newer Generation with a few improvements over the older design.

Please tell them to add the ability to use steel mags. Those are the most popular, prevalent, and affordable AK mags on the market.

It would make sense to design a gun around a popular magazine. I know if I ran a gun manufacturing company I would.

We are using steel mags with the gun out of 12 mags only 2 would not work reliably .
