While I'm not quite as uptight on safe specs as some people here, even I'm a little queasy about only have three live bolts and two deadbolts.

The deadbolts are on the hinge side, the live bolts are what the tumbler/lever retract when opening.

It actually looks like a decent safe for $700. Kinda short and stubby, but then so am I. :D

I have outgrown mine recently, so this is tempting, but their shenanigans after newtown is enough justification to spend more elsewhere.

I just feel like not having ANY on the top and bottom makes it a lot easier to pry open. I think it'd be reasonable against a smash and grab, but you're talking about storing a LOT of guns in there... I dunno.

I have three high end safes left in my warehouse, two Heritage Legacy safes and one Fort Knox that I would really like gone by the first of the year, Inventory tax time.

Call of come by if interested, the prices on these won't ever be lower.

These are real safes, not glorified storage boxes like you see at Bass Pro.

I'm thinking a safe in a safe routine is a good way to go if buying lower end safes. One could alarm the outer one against shock and door opening and that would buy time until response to the alarm. Maybe even a safe in an alarmed gun cabinet will work well. There also are the modular safes like the Zanotti safes that can be built up around the cheaper fire safe.
