I need to take the mini out more often. Shot the hell out of it years ago when it was my only semi-auto. Lots of 30-round mag dumps off the hip. :gun2: Back in the days of cheap ammo...

Why doesn't Magpul make mini mags??

I really like the Ruger Mini but could not go the $900 so I purchased
    a .40 S&W HI POINT carbine....now....
if I could just bring the SOB home....delayed until 1/23

I have tried just about every brand of mag that fits the Mini. I think all but the Ruger brand when into the circular file. I got lucky up at Cabela's in Hamburg, Pa on a visit. They had 30 round Ruger's for about $20, bought a bunch. Funny, someone mentioned that they hadn't bought an AR until O'Malley told them they couldn't. Same with me, I went out and bought AR's. Love both.

Slickguns had these two ads last night ...

    Ruger AR-556 for $563

Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle for $700

I like my Mini-14 (also a Ranch Rifle, probably spent $630 - typical sales price) but it's not competitively priced insofar as a performance/price ratio - even by Ruger (which has to deal with a larger market of other vendors on the AR-15 side). The Mini-14 is plenty fun to shoot, but it is mag sensitive, a 2-3 MOA rifle at best, and less versatile in customizing (or adding optics).

Nice rifle. I've always thought these were cool little shooters but they're just to expensive for what they are nowadays. Hope you got a good deal on it!

Nice! Looks like my set up except I have Stainless barrels on both of mine. If I knew how to upload pics to her I would share. I keep getting an error when I try though.
