The PNTC calendar as of today does not show the December USPSA, Steel Challenge, or IDPA matches on the schedule only the 2-gun and 3-gun events are still on.

USPSA Holiday Hosefest at Ontelaunee on 12/27

Quantico Shooting Club is still holding USPSA match on the 13th, Steel Challenge on the 19th. Vetting still required prior to entry on to the base.

So did these matches get cancelled? Any official word from PNTC?

Fredericksburg just cancelled, guess folks are getting caught up in the holidays and/or not fond of shooting in cooler/colder conditions.

Anybody doing IDPA at Thurmont? I think they have a match December 19th?

reminder on the Peacemaker 2 gun match this saturday and 3 gun the next. I'm signed for both. if you have a handgun and an AR or other semi auto .223 or bigger rifle, you'll have a lot of fun shooting the 2 gun match. beats the crap out of punching paper on a static square range. if you're a newbie and a little reticent to jump in, you're welcome to squad with me and we'll show you the ropes.

This is the announcement for the Saturday Dec 19 IDPA Match at Thurmont, MD. This will be a 6 stage match.
Match is subject to weather cancellation. Arrive by 9AM, but I will be there at 8AM and can use help getting prepared.

NEWS FROM THURMONT ANNUAL MEETING FOR MEMBERS
- Bill Alred and Hermann Anton were elected to the Board. All existing officers were re-elected.
- 3Gun is now an established discipline and will be led by Ben Streifel with Bill Alred and myself as supporting disciplines.

- If you have work hours you want to submit for IDPA, please have them submitted to me by January 1, 2016.
- We are building a property access gate and it will be active in the spring once the BOD has established the operational protocols (access card, keycodes, etc.)
- The first IDPA match of 2016 is scheduled Sunday, Feb 28, subject to weather permitting. The next one is Sat, April 9. The 2016 Schedule will be posted soon.
- The first Tuesday IDPA match is scheduled Tue, Mar 15.
- The first 3Gun is Sun, Mar 13.3Gun needs a setup crew to assist on Saturday before the match. If you can help, please email me and I will get that to Ben. va.md.idpa@gmail.com
- The first USPSA match is scheduled for Sunday, Mar 20, setup on Mar 19.

Since I am shooting IDPA at Thurmont on Saturday I would be in so much trouble...... any details for Sunday AM? Pistol? 9mm?

I was thinking about shooting Thurmont also but decided there is enough to do around the farm for me to only shoot one day and North Mountain is closer by about 15-20 minutes. Plus I get to shoot steel instead of paper mostly. If I can get a partner I plan on shooting my G34 in either iron or open configuration. Sunday there starts at 9 AM while Saturday starts at 1 PM.

Hi Kent, too bad you didn't post this earlier as i would have teamed with you. I am teamed Sunday in Open. Looks like there is one spot open in Squad 4. If you grab that and say you need a partner, they'll most likely find one for you. If not, i can shoot a 2nd time with you, a few folks have signed up for two slots.

The real problem is I prefer to shoot on Saturday.
Do you have enough ammo to shoot Open doubled up?

Ok Dave if your amenable to it I took the last spot in Squad 4 since, like you said, I saw that several people were shooting twice in their squads. If one of my other shooting buddies can make it (and I doubt it) I won't call on you but in the most likely case you will be shooting twice per stage. I will even help you reload your mags.
