This occurred almost two weeks ago at a Newport News gun store and range called The Marksman, when thieves drove through a wall with a stolen sedan.

The video is OMG and worth a look.

The latest news is that the thieves have been tracked and arrested, but only 8 of the 25 stolen firearms have been recovered. The ring leader was an 18 year old who already had a felony conviction at the time of the burglary.

    The others arrested are juvies.

Here's update today on arrests with interesting still photos of the crime scene:

They did that twice in Baltimore County at Valley Guns on Harford Road in Parkville...

They drove the 1st stolen car in thru the front door...

The 2nd stolen vehicle was used for the loot...

They hit the same place the same way about 4 weeks later...

As best as I can recall it was in the mid 90's...

The word was that they got hundreds of guns..?

If I remember right, they did the same thing to the old "Gun Rack" store in Burtonsville years ago. After that they put large pipes filled with concrete in front of the store. I think they are now closed.

Its a shame. Thieves cost business a lot of money. I guess in the end, most of it is passed on to the consumer.

They should replace their alarm system with a MK 15 Phalanx right in the middle of the store set to monitor just inside the walls. 1500 rounds of 20mm directed at that car would be fun to watch.

I remember that well, I'd guess it was in the mid 80's because I was haze gray and underway in the mid 90's.

I believe early to mid 80's as well....but I'm sure there was more than just 2 instances. They finally put ballards in the ground in front of the windows and doors. I wonder if that kept happening before, or after, they sold all the guns with no paperwork?

It happened at Cheaspeake Guns back a few years ago when they were at their old location in Grasonville. Then they put up jersey barriers.
