    I have a Colt Competition that's 16.3in OAL that I was thinking of doing a form 1 on to convert to an SBR.

    Since this already has a serial number registered under my name do I still need to have it engraved with my name, city and state?

    Yes. Because you're "making" an SBR. In the eyes of the ATF, you're now the manufacturer and it has to have your name, city, and state engraved on it.


    ETA: If I'm mistaken, anyone, please feel free to correct.
