My 1911 build

Took it for its first range trip today. I am verrrry happy...and I also need to learn not to have to say damnit! every so often

You clearly can tell where I said damnit

Ran PMC Bronze, Blazer Brass, PPU, Blazer and Estate through three different mags. Didn't like one mag, but none of the other guns like it, either. One failure to feed that was caused by a serious sharp lip on the case, one failure to feed caused by the crap mag and same mag caused it not to lock open empty. We ran 250 rounds through it - and we both giggled the whole time. Oh, and we were firing at 7 yards.

Just finished my 1911 build with Sig, Harrison Custom, Wilson Combat, Kimber, Challis grip screw bushings and VZ parts.

I bought Titanium Cerakote. It came out silver on my husband's build and bronze on mine....go figure. I like it, though. He bought me the frame and slide for Christmas and I purchased the remaining parts.

A new personal best handgun shooting with Leeann's 1911.

Here are the first 32 rounds I fired from the gun.

8 rounds sighting to the X on the first target, 16 on the second then 8 more aiming at the 7 instead of the X; all from 7 yards.

Now that I know to hide the X with the sights and use a little less finger, I can probably bring it to the X and tighten it up a little.

I hoped the gun would be good, but had no idea it would be this good.
