I asked United Gun Shop about a week ago or so and they said that it isn't released in Maryland. I really want one lol, I'm not to fond of the name though sigh

I'm a little disappointed in how bulky it is. Basically a striker fired P95.

    Really?
I had a P95 and I don't think it's any comparison in size, feel or weight IMO. In fact has a much better feel to it, to me.

My buddy was doing paperwork on his new HK VP9, and aside from the HK finger grooves, him, me and a random customer all agreed it felt very similar to the VP9, as far as weight, balance, and overall feel...I was also going to buy a VP9, but actually liked the feel of the Ruger better...the finger grooves on the HK are not big finger friendly. :o

I looked at one at Cabela's in Delaware a few weeks back. Felt good in my hand. Might add one to the collection in the future.

Basically a wannabe Gen 4 Glock? LOL

I like the SR9, dislike the external safety on a striker fired/"Glock" trigger gun.

A local FFL here lists them for $433 via Davidson's, but there are none in stock at the moment. Status is "Allocated". All three versions are the same price.

I'll go with the P95 comparison. I have both an SR9 and a P95 and I have never been fond of the mag release on my P95. The question is whether the American requires you to press both mag releases at the same time, or just one side.

We have one in the cabinet for fondling and I find it far more comfortable than the P95. I'd like to shoot it before I pass final judgement, but first look isn't bad.
