I have a GSG 1911-22 that needs some TLC badly.... This was my first pistol between myself, my kids and G-kids this pistol has taken a beaten.... I've been reading up on how to apply Duracoat but anyone have any issues while doing the prep work or the application of duracoat?

Your prep work is everything as with any painting job. Really spend some time making sure everything is perfectly scrubbed down and very clean first. Pay particular attention to the end of the slide, ejection port on the slide, and the frame where your hands go. The more you prep the better the job will turn out.

No problems at all. This was my first attempt with an air brush and with Duracoat. I'm very happy with results and the durability.
