In a competent well run organization like MDSP you would expect an informational home page on another server letting taxpayers know the site was down for repair.
    IT at it's best.
    I love Maryland:thumbsup:

Agreed if this was periodic maointenance, best practices would have dictated a sorry page redirect.

Probably not scheduled but it is MSP.

My guess is they don't host their own website server. The hosting company may be doing some weekend rework...changing servers...etc. It isn't the end of the world. Patience grasshoppers.

As noted, the pros put up the "Sorry" page and the rest ...

Only if you like to present a more professional presentation to the public.

If you don't care, no it doesn't matter.

Apparently you don't understand how website servers work. If the actual server went down, a DNS entry would have had to been made pointing to another server that would tell you that the MSP server was down. If an arrangement wasn't made ahead of time, it doesn't happen. Why don't we wait until it's fixed and give them a chance to explain the outage.
